Description: This document is the first page of an order from the Head Quarters of Cavalry at Fort Collins, and it gives orders regarding the movement of troops between Fort Collins and Sulpher Springs. The beginning passage reads, "The following rules and regulations are hereby promulgated for the guidance of all Officers Commanding Troops engaged in guarding the 'Overland Stage Route' between Fort Collins and Sulpher Springs, and all Officers will be held strictly responsible for the faithful and prompt compliance with all the provisions herein contained."
