Rebles Sent a Flag of truce
to Gen Grant asking four

If Grant takes Vicksburg it
is good bye to the Southern
confedercey. for they cannot
raise another man for the
field. while we can double
Our ranks if nessisary. I was
talking with Mark the other

the final conclusion that we
will be home about Christmas
to Stay. for we think the war
will be at a close by that time
Then if nothing happens I
will See you for I have promised
Mark I would go Over to
